This trail skirts the fertile plateau of Livaderi whose western border touches upon Xompourgo and then passes one after the other the settlements of Steni, Kechros, Tzados, Karya, Koumaros, Falatados and Myrsini and the farm lands in between. The trail offers a stunning view to the west from Karya to Koumaros, it goes through Xompourgo (where one can visit the Castle of Saint Helen) and then it goes downhill again opening up to the panoramic view of Koumaros. From Koumaros to Falatados, the trail, for a little while, “touches upon” the famous granite rock formations.

Trail M1A enables one to make a shortcut of trail M1. It starts from Falatados, it crosses the plateau and it comes upon the village of Mesi, the church of Saint Francis with the exceptional architecture (in the vicinity of Pentostrato) before it reaches Tzado.
